Ultimate Throwback Cheese Fondue

Serves 4
Cooking time: 35 minutes


  • 1 unsliced sourdough bread loaf from your favourite bakery
  • 1 cup almond milk
  • 2 blocks Alt Dairy Co. Mozzarella, chopped
  • 1 block Alt Dairy Co. Parmesan, chopped
  • 1 block Alt Dairy Co. Cheddar, chopped
  • 1 clove garlic, crushed
  • 1 tbsp parsley, chopped
  • Carrot sticks
  • Celery sticks
  • Cubes of bread


  1. Cut 2 cm off the top of the bread, set aside
  2. Remove bread from inside the loaf, leaving approx. 2 cm around the bottom and Set aside bread bowl and extra bread
  3. In a pot or large saucepan add garlic, cheese and almond milk. Cook on low heat for 15-20 minutes until combined.
  4. Add parsley and stir through
  5. Cut remaining bread into 2 cm cubes and slice vegetables into sticks/batons
  6. Wrap bread bowl in foil to contain heat and pour cheese mixture into the bread
  7. Serve immediately with extra bread and vegetables to dip
