1. The Championship

  • Entry into and participation in The Alternative Championship Team Edition 2025 (the “Event”) is deemed acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.

2. Who can enter?

3. Event

  • Team-based competition (up to 3 people per team).
  • Held at Latitude Coffee Roasters, Unit 2/28 Flinders Parade, North Lakes QLD 4509, on Thursday, 20 November 2025.
  • A schedule will be posted on the Humanitix Event page at least 3 weeks prior.
  • Points-based rounds testing barista skills (presentation, sensory, service).
  • Detailed briefing provided prior to commencement.

4. Prizes

  • 1st place: $1000 Mastercard voucher per team member.

  • 2nd place: $600 Mastercard voucher per team member.

  • 3rd place: $300 Mastercard voucher per team member.

  • Additional gift packs or prizes may be awarded at the discretion of sponsors or venues.

5. How do I enter?

  • Step 1: Form a team (up to 3 people). Choose a name and nominate one member to purchase the ticket.

  • Step 2: Register your entry via the Championship Humanitix page here. Places are limited and allocated first-come, first-served.

  • Step 3: Check the nominated email address for confirmation and communications from the Organiser.

  • Entrants unable to attend may request a refund via Humanitix prior to 20 November 2025.

  • These Terms and Conditions prevail over Humanitix Terms if inconsistencies arise.

6. Can I enter multiple times?

  • Only one entry per team is permitted.

7. Winner selection

  • Game of skill; winners chosen based on performance in barista skill rounds.
  • Judged by a panel of industry professionals.

8. Winner notification

  • Winners will be notified in person at the completion of the Event.

9. Conduct

  • Entrants must follow all lawful directions from the Organiser.
  • Inappropriate behaviour may lead to disqualification.
  • Judges may reassign prizes if disqualification occurs.

10. Cost of entry

  • Entrants bear all costs related to participation, including internet access and ticket purchase.
  • The Organiser is not responsible for communication or technical issues.

11. Recording at the Event and your consent

  • Unless otherwise advised in writing, entrants consent to:
  • The Organiser may use event content (including drink ideas or recipes) for promotional or corporate purposes without payment.

12. Receipt of entries

  • The Organiser is not responsible for late, lost, corrupted, or misdirected entries.
  • Entries are deemed submitted when received by the Organiser.

13. Social media terms

  • The Event is not sponsored, endorsed, or administered by Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, or TikTok.
  • Entrants release social media platforms from all liability.
  • Direct any questions to the Organiser.

14. Organiser’s rights

  • The Organiser reserves the right to:
    • Terminate or amend the Event (including prizes) if it cannot reasonably proceed as planned.

    • Enforce its rights at any stage; failure to do so is not a waiver.

15. Liability

  • The Organiser is not liable for loss, damage, or injury incurred during participation, except where prohibited by law.
  • This includes tax implications of any prize.
